Well we had a great afternoon of racing yesterday. It's amazing how the best races are often the simplest. People were having beers between runs, some were riding in thongs and we even one person riding an xc bike with full seatpost extension. Hopefully we'll have some photo's soon.
Results
1st – Lindsay Klein - Santa Cruz, For The Riders, SRAM, Havaianas
2nd – Daniel Castillo - Ashgrove Cycles
3rd – Randal Huntington - For The Riders, Tomac, Six Six One
4th – Sam Trevor
5th – Brett Lancelot - Vizion Shopfitters
Yesterday, the Huntingtons had a Slalom Race in Brisbane to help raise money to get Sarsha overseas to compete at the 4X World Cups. The “family picnic” held in a council park in Bulimba was a great day and racing on the slalom track was extremely competitive. Although numbers were low the best riders were there in the A Group fighting it out for the title of “Australian Single Slalom Champion!!!”
A big thank you to all the riders & spectators who made the trip out to the event. It was a great day of riding and racing. Thank you to Sarsha’s parents for all their help on the day! A big special thank you to Sarsha’s sponsors: For The Riders who have supported her right from the get go when she first starting riding bikes 4 and a half years ago. And to her major sponsors Super Sports & Tomac Racing Australia. Both these guys put up prizes and raffle prizes for the event and it was excellent to have their support.
To all Sarsha’s sponsors she would like to say thank you for all your support for this season and she hopes to get you all some good results overseas. Thank you to; Six Six One, Jet Black Cycling, Revolution Magazine, KWT – Onza & Hicks Sign Co.
If you couldn’t make the event and still wish to donate some money then please feel free to send Sarsha an email at sarsha@flashpointpromotions.com.au where her bank details can be sent to you.
Full race report and results can be found here. |

Sarsha Huntington is a girl. A girl who is fast at riding bikes. A girl who is faster than you at riding bikes.
What's that? 'Bollocks!' I hear you say?
Well then, better race her.
Luckily, you'll get your chance to race to head-to-head with Sarsha right here and, in addition to making a fool of yourself, you'll also help to raise funds for Sarsha to race the World Cup of 4X this year, where she will get the opportunity to compete against a stacked field of girls who are also faster than you.
So; if you're in Brisbane or can get to Brisbane on the 11th of this month, follow the links, get to Sarsha's Slalom and help her to fly the flag for Australia at this year's World Cup! |

 | Ramp Attak Brisbane - Trial MTB Session (16 comments) (link) Wednesday, 7-April-2010 11:40 AM - by Ryan | |
|
We shall make this one short and sweet.
Brisbane has a new indoor skatepark facility called Ramp Attak that has a foam pit and a bunch of ramps. Currently they don't allow mountain bikes to ride the place but could be persuaded to change their minds if enough riders show interest.
They're holding an MTB trial session on Wednesday, April 7th from 3pm to 6pm so if you're in the area and want to give the place a try then this is your chance. Sorry for the late notice but only just had the time confirmed, check the map here and the session prices here and give it a shot! |
