Round 2 of the King of Ballarat DH Series saw Dave Habicht take out A-Grade Elite Men who had recently been selected to represent Australia in Four Cross at the World Championships & do it on his 4x bike! In one of the most competitive elite fields to date & in really slick conditions everyone knew that consistancy was the key to success on the technical steep tracks.

Round 4 of the KWT Maxxis series was won on Sunday by Mr Rennie, followed closely by a stacked field local riders. In other news, the race wasn't cancelled due to rain! It rains about 10 days a year in Toowoomba, and somehow it always seems to rain when a race is scheduled. Local residents near the track have been known to fertilise their lawns according to the race calendar.

Midday Sunday SBS 1. An hour long doco on a MTB race on free to air Tellie!
The Kona Mawson Marathon was a 370km NON STOP race held this year in the Flinders Rangers SA. It turned out to be an epic race and I know the cameraman got some great footage so make sure you don't miss this one

Sunday 25th July, Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club is hosting Round 4 of the KWT Maxxis Qld Sunshine Series Downhill at their venue in Amos Road via Withcott.
Online entry is now up on MTBA here.
PLEASE be aware that there will only be pre-entries for this race, there are NO on the day entries.
For those who haven’t ventured up the range before, an access map also available from the same site. Registration from 7.30am, official practice from 8.00 and racing at 1.00pm. A canteen will be operating all day.
The track will be open for use by the general public on Saturday until 4.00pm when it will be shut down for some last minute maintenance. PLEASE respect the locals and drive responsibly. Everyone who plans to ride the course on Saturday needs to be aware though that there wont be any track marshalls around and Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club will not be responsible for any loss/injury that may occur prior to start of official practice at 8.00am on Sunday.
